ISD IN TAMARINDO, COSTA RICA

We had a good turnout for International Surfing Day. Over 50 people helped to clean the beach. We all paddled out later to form a giant circle. We took pictures from the
hilltop and from a plane that flew overhead. With all of the beautiful sunsets we get here, it was too bad that it was grey and raining! Many people from around the world showed up and thanked us for having the paddle out.....the largest ever seen here in Tamarindo.

- From Lou Maresca, Chair of the Surfrider Tamarindo, Costa Rica Organizing Committee

That was my first ever paddle for the surfrider foundation, and dispite the rain, it was a wonderful experience. It was great to be able to spend time with other surfers of a like mind. I can't wait until I can do that again!

what a joke SR CR is. Run by a bunch of real estate agents..... seriously! Camn you say "conflict of interests". They have been quashing the results of water test for Tamarindo Bay for months now. The Ministry of Health just published the results that the contamination in the Tamarindo Bay is un-swimmable. Where is SR's results, I spent good money at 2 fund raisers where the money was supposed to go to testing water quality. Still no results published. SR you are WAY behind, whats it going to take for you to catch up.

Hey Anonymous...why don't you come out to a meeting and find out. The results published by the Ministry of Health were prompted by the OUR CHAPTER'S delivery of the water testing of OUR CHAPTER'S results to the DIRECTOR of the MINISTRY OF HEALTH of CR. Get off the couch...seems like you are the one who needs to catch up. Stop talking and start helping.
