A beautiful morning at Seal Beach

It was a beautiful morning for Huntington/Seal Beach Chapter Treasurer, Tony Soriano, until he got to the shoreline at Seal Beach this morning.

"The only waves were waves of debris. This time there was a lot! of dead fish," Tony reports.

Pics taken December 16, 2008 at the San Gabriel Rivermouth in Seal Beach.

This is just heartbreaking stuff. I had no idea these conditions still existed in the U.S. I guess I'm naive, but I've never, ever seen a beach in this state. Thanks for dropping the knowledge.

I used to surf the rivermouth 3x times a week 20 years ago. Glad I moved North.

I hate what pollution does to our ocean, it really is sick. A disgraceful thing to do to our mother. OMO.

This is tragic!! Say it isn't true that humanity has become so desensitized that photo's such as these would not be front page news across the nation. I am outraged and saddened to learn that an area such as this (income and education level) would tolerate for even one day what I see in these photographs!

We reveal ourselves and I am horrified.

As we combat the negative karma that reflects our (non)actions (and it will be severe) it will be hard not to think that we will be getting just what we deserve.

I was in this very same spot October of 2008 surfing and there was trash but not nearly the amount there is in these pictures. I can't believe so much can change in so little time. It truly sickens me.

The blue crate should be an advertisement for K-mart.
