and those are .... seals or dolphins...?
Having been in the water with "some of the best surfers in the world," I would have to say "they have priority!" And whoa unto the hapless one who might try to "drop in" on their wave, they will "bump" you right off your board! Been there, done that.
Those are dolphins.
That's a great photo. About a week ago I was surfing at Blacks and for the first time ever, I rode a wave with a dolphin. After I dropped in and turned right, I see a shawdow a few feet ahead of me and realized after a few moments that it was a dolphin. I was pretty stoked. That dolphin turned an otherwise forgettable waist high wave into one that I will never forget. Stuff like that reminds me of why we need to work so hard to keep our oceans and environment clean.
